OVER 80 enthusiastic riders battled it out at the Galina MX track, on Saturday, 21 September to score points in the seventh round of Bank Windhoek Namibian National Series, which enjoyed some sizzling action despite a windy and icy cold day.

The mass motocross start was fast and loud with motorcycles and quads tackling the motocross jumps, and the energy was contagious, with Tommy Gous on his Yamaha and Fanie Steenkamp on his Honda thrilling spectators with their high flying jumps.

In the National Bike Class, Henner Rusch put on a good display and won his seventh consecutive race in the series, but he was pushed all the way by Ingo Waldschmidt. Corné Visser was the guy to beat and score a win in the National Quad Class while Julia Moths raced her way to victory in the Ladies Quads Class.

The event was co-sponsored by Pupkewitz Honda, Steel Force and Waldschmidt Eggs. The next race in the Bank Windhoek Namibian National Enduro Series will take place on 19th October on the Farm Klein Barmen in the Okahandja district.
