WINDHOEK– Minding her own business trying to enjoy her own Disney world experience destiny then befell her and the next thing she was holding in her hand was a dream ticket to the American Idols audition.
At home, Namibia, Faye Peik had the crowd eating out of her hands. Most came short of kissing her feet because of that angelic voice. It therefore comes as no surprise that she became an instant idol while on holiday. And with her Namibian charm, and voice to kill, she awed thousands of people that flocked to the American Idol Experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida, United States of America (USA).
The American Idol Experience brings the feel and energy of the American Idol reality television show to Walt Disney World, allowing everyday guests to see if they have the vocal talents to compete in a miniature-sized version of the hit television show. According to a statement sent to Artlife, one of the judges said he had thought that 20-year-old Feiyo was only 15. “If only you were tall enough to ride the rides”, adding that Feiyo not only had a bright future as an artist but also a good chance at winning American Idol.
