Written and directed by Kubbe Rispel, the National Theatre of Namibia is proud to present the theatre play, “The Case of Henry X” on June 8 and 9 at the NTN Backstage.

Advance tickets are available at the NTN Box Office in John Meinert Street at N$30 or, alternatively, at the door at N$40. Doors open at 19h00 and the show starts at 20h00.

The Case of Henry X deals with the continuous quest to erase all evil from society. Henry X represents the symbolic face of societal evil. He is simultaneously the perpetrator and the accused, the hero and the enemy.

During the course of events, he is confronted with his own conscience to the extent that the wickedness within ourselves is exposed. We are forced to find solutions to corruption, the lies and hatred, nepotism, violence, chaos, greed and selfishness which are an integral part of our framework which we have been overlooking for too long.

This theatre play forms part of the NTN Theatre Zone project, which aims at assisting local producers financially and technically to stage their plays at the theatre for the public. The Theatre Zone Project is solely funded by the Finnish Embassy.

“The Case of Henry X” will also be judged for the Namibia Theatre Awards scheduled for November 2007.
