Tomorrow World Music Day will be fittingly celebrated in four towns in the country with many established musicians participating in the event that will run from 10h00 until 17h00.
World Music Day was launched in France in 1982, and the Franco Namibian Cultural Centre is organizing it in Namibia. It is now celebrated annually in over a hundred countries.
Free concerts will be staged all day long in the following four towns in Namibia:
-Windhoek – Zoo Park:
Equipped Dancing Academy, Front Liners Gospel Team, Gabroz, Chiwahlaw, Shaambo Culture Rock, Snakes Band, Buju Kanoko, M4 Band, Malaika Angels, Mfanakits, Rizzy, FO, Monica the fighter, Petrus Haakskeen and Friend, Nasti, Iron Roots, Marvin Sanzila, Rock, Germanboy, Omidi d’Afrique, College of the Art, 4*4 Too Much Power.
UN Plaza (including a procession):

World Music Day is a unique occasion to provide musicians with a platform, whether they are famous or not. The festival also celebrates the diversity of the musical styles prevailing in Namibia: traditional, choirs, gospel, reggae, kwaito, etc.
This event, which is also meant to entertain the audience, is free of charge.
