About 44 managers of liquor outlets in Oshana graduated in the management and administration of their businesses as part of the Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL) business skills development of the local community.

The training course, the first of its kind in the region, was conducted and facilitated by the Windhoek-based Lolo Training Company of Loide Nakale.

Nakale told the graduation ceremony that the training mainly focused on record-keeping, stock control, hygiene, licensing, and social responsibility.

NBL Distribution Account Manager Herman Amukwaya, who coordinated the training, said more such services would be extended to Omusati, Ohangwena, Oshikoto and other regions because most of the potential participants could not attend due to long distances.

He said: “We want to plough back our knowledge and skills into the community through our consumers and customers in order to ensure effective business activities.”
