I’d like to celebrate the life and times of a great man among men, an unsung hero and someone who lived life to its fullest.
I met Patrick Basson in the melting pot called Windhoek in 1987. It is thus exactly 20 years that I could call him my friend!
I remember how we had fun at the house of Lorraine (Madam Black Africa herself).
I remember the days we would frequent a place called the Independence Restaurant. He was a great dancer, and never wanted to leave that place until the last song had played.
It was extremely difficult to keep up with him as he waited for that last song???_?_’???_?’???_?
