Oshana Police Commander Deputy Commissioner Ndahangwapo Kashihakumwa has cautioned criminals to refrain from their “evil ” activities because the police are more than ready to deal with them.
He issued this stern warning during the celebration of Police National Day at Oshakati recently.

“Oshana Region is affected by all types of crime like any other regions but because of the seriousness, dedication, high morale, discipline, respect, unity and a good working relationship between members of the public and the police today we are celebrating the reduction of crime in the region,” he said.

He said crime had dropped drastically confirming that criminals were now isolated, while the police continued to keep them away from society by exposing them wherever they were found.

“It is therefore against this background that I would like to thank members of the public for a job well done and in the same vein I urge all of you to continue doing good work.”

Oshana Chief Regional Officer, John Kandombo, presided at the event on behalf of Governor Clemens Kashuupulwa.

Kandombo reminded people that the police cannot work in isolation, and that there is a constitutional obligation on every citizen to ensure that law and order is maintained by giving undivided assistance and cooperation to the police.

“All those who have information regarding criminal activities must forward them to the police to ensure the immediate arrest of criminals,” he said
