Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) is offering special discounts of up to 50 percent for accommodation and camping at 13 of its resorts across the country from this month to March next year.
Those eligible for these discounts are Namibians, permanent residents and diplomats in Namibia, said NWR Marketing Executive, Tangeni Kaulu.
A 30 percent discount is given at the Sossus Dune Lodge and Sesriem, while a 40 percent discount is applicable for Halali.
Visitors will be eligible for a 50 percent discount at Daan Viljoen, Duwisib Castle, Gross Barmen, Hardap, Khorixas, Naukluft, Popa Falls, Reho Spa, Shark Island, Von Bach and Waterberg.
“We always give seasonal specials to the Namibian market during the holiday season to encourage them to travel and to get to know their country; domestic tourism is very important to us,” said Kaulu.
She said Namibian parents should do more to educate their children about their country.
“That is the only way people will come to appreciate the value of their country as a tourist destination,” said Kaulu.
