National Power Utility NamPower on Wednesday signed multi-million-dollar deals with two Indian companies to construct the HVDC bipolar line from Katima Mulilo to Otjiwarongo.
Jyoti Structures Africa (Pty) Ltd was awarded a N$518-million tender and KEC International Limited won a N$260-million tender.
According to the Managing Director of Nampower, Paulinus Shilamba, the power utility has budgeted N$3.21 billion for the first phase of the Caprivi Link Interconnector project.
