WINDHOEK – The police have arrested a 22-year-old woman suspected of stabbing her boyfriend to death at Okombahe on Saturday.
The deceased Andusnius Goseb, 23, was stabbed three times allegedly by his girlfriend. According to the police, the couple were at a party and upon their arrival at the 22-year-old’s shack an argument which resulted in a fight erupted.
The 22-year-old allegedly stabbed Goseb three times, once in the chest and twice in the back. It is yet to be determined through the ongoing investigations what was the motive behind the killing.
The suspect is expected to make her first appearance in the Omaruru Magistrate’s Court.
In an unrelated matter, a case of rape was opened by a 28-year-old woman in Karasburg. “It is alleged that the victim, 28 years of age, was overpowered whilst on her way from a shebeen in Westerkim location to town,” explained Namibian police spokesperson Chief Inspector Kaunapawa Shikwambi.
The 26-year-old suspect has been arrested and police investigations are ongoing.
The police on Friday arrested a 33-year-old man for allegedly sexually violating a resident of Ndama location in Rundu. It is suspected that the suspect sneaked into the victim’s room while she was asleep and had sexual intercourse with her without her consent. A case of rape has been opened against the suspect and he is expected to make an appearance in court.
On Friday the police apprehended a 59-year-old man at Hosea Kutako International Airport cargo bay for drug possession. The suspect who is a truck driver was found in possession of 4,205 Mandrax tablets worth N$504,600.
The 59-year-old was allegedly on his way to Gobabis when the police found the drugs through a thorough search in his truck.
