Hoax Advert

ONGWEDIVA ANNUAL TRADE FAIR IS HERE TO STAY

Response: The Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair Preparatory Committee has noted with great concern the recent fake news in the form of an unprofessional caption picture circulating on social media depicting “Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair is no more” and “Missing Money”, the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair Preparatory Committee wishes to assure all stakeholders that the preparations for the 19th Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair are in full swing and progressing well.

No incidences of missing money have ever been uncovered or reported as alleged in the hoax advert.
This year’s OATF is scheduled for Friday, 24th August 2018 to Saturday the 1st September 2018, under the theme “Creating an enabling environment for industrialised local economy”.

We would like to urge all our sponsors, exhibitors, visitors and service providers to ignore and reject such fake advert with the contempt it deserves, as it is an attempt by irresponsible individuals who are trying to derail the progress and excellent track record of OATF. Such attempts to confuse the nation are perpetuated by those who are careless about the economic development of our country, its people and their tireless efforts to take Namibia to greater heights.

The Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair remains an open and transparent public entity that subscribes to the highest ethical values and standards. Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair Preparatory Committee. Contact: Jackson Muma, Corporate Communications Officer, +264 65 233700. E-mail Address: jmuma@otc.com.na.
