ONGWEDIVA – The Deputy Minister of Public Enterprises Veikko Nekundi has advised Grade 10 learners at Otamanzi Circuit in Omusati Region not to give up their zeal but to soar like eagles and pass with flying colours in external exams.
“Never say that you can’t do something or that something seems impossible or that something can’t be done, no matter how discouraging or harrowing it may be; human beings are limited only by what we allow ourselves to be limited by,” Nekundi spurred learners in a jam-packed church at Otamanzi.

Delivering a motivational address last Thursday, Nekundi encouraged learners at Otamanzi to study smart.
“It is often not so important how long we work, but how effectively we use the working hours,” the Deputy Minister said.
Equally, he discouraged learners against social distractions such as social media, indulging in parties and spending prolonged hours glued to TV sets and that instead they should study.
“Do not allow these obstacles to control you because they will be around when you complete your exams,” he counselled learners.

In the same vain, the Deputy Minister encouraged the learners to study hard and remain disciplined.
“If you have not performed academically well in the past two terms, don’t give up, but imagine the possibility of you outperforming and attaining outstanding results.  Yes you can do it,” Nekundi said.

“It is only when you concentrate on your school books that you will maintain a high pass rate; therefore, do not discriminate your subjects because you don’t like a particular teacher,” he said.
