Netball Namibia has completed the final selection of 12 netballers for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, to be hosted by Botswana next month.

Training sessions have already started in full swing at the Unam netball courts. The Namibian team is training with the TISAN team for preparations, while the latter is also preparing for the World University Games in Miami later this year.

TISAN also boasts a strong contingent in the national Under-21 netball team. Netball authorities yesterday held an open training session, where members of the press were allowed to pose questions about the team’s readiness.

The Namibian travelling entourage is to be accompanied by Imelda Nerongo as team manager.

The final 18-member squad reads as follows: Jessica Moolman, Ronel Benson, Tielie Kamati, Tjimbakavaza Tjipetekera, Diana Tjejamba, Minerva Calvar-Collazo, Uahengisa Tjozongoro, Vezembaouua Mauano, Atushe Shihepo, Rieta-Marie Brands, Eileen Britz, Juzeiri Garbers, Jehumba Hambira, Vicky Uarije, Monique Vermeulen, Chante Cronje, Vemutona Marenga, and Erestine Tjihuno.
