The Unit Commander of the Namibian Police Force at Katutura Police Station in Windhoek is requesting the public to assist in tracing the whereabouts of a witness in a murder case.
The witness, Erna de Klerk, is Afrikaans-speaking and was last employed by a service station in Rehoboth. According to the latest information received the said witness is reportedly employed at a lodge in the southern parts of Namibia.
De Klerk urgently needs to avail herself at the Regional Court of Namibia, Katutura Magistrate Court on November 17 – 18 to testify in a murder case. De Klerk or anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts is requested to contact Police Detective Warrant Officer Basson on 081 3131325 or at 061 2095318
The police’s Commercial Crime Investigation Division is urgently looking for anyone who might provide information that might lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of Veino Popyeni Iikuti, 29, who escaped from lawful custody at Windhoek Police Station on Sunday October 11, 2015.
He was arrested for cheque fraud cases Katutura CR 254/10/2015 and Windhoek CR 286/09/2015. He is a Namibian national, dark in complexion with short black hair. When last seen he was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt and lightblue long official trousers, with a brown belt. The suspect is originally from Omaku Village in the Omusati Region and his last known address is Erf 4400/2 Frankfurt Street in Otjomuise, Windhoek.
The police are also looking for Iyamabo Iyambo Iikuti, 30, in connection with the same cases, Katutura CR 254/10/2015 and Windhoek CR 286/09/2015 – cheque fraud. He too is dark in complexion and has short black hair. He is from Omusati Region and his last known address is TOR 117, Agste Laan, Otjomuise, Windhoek.
