Team KIA Elite rider Heinrich Kohne was in top form once again as he celebrated his 2nd victory in the Elite Men’s category of the Nedbank Cross Country Series, last weekend.
Kohne, who had already triumphed during the opening race of the series in April, crossed the finish line after seven rounds in a time of 1:31:45.85 hours, leaving Namibia’s leading cyclist Costa Seibeb to pick up the pieces for 2nd spot.
Tjipee Murangi had to settle for 3rd place (1:38:27.89). Irene Steyn was the only competitor in the elite women’s division and therefore took the top honours in a nevertheless strong time of 1:33:04.00.
The junior men’s category was once again won by Herbert Peters (1:40:00.40), with Luke Munting adrift in 2nd place and Michael Pekalski tailing in 3rd.
In the meantime, Steffanie Grossmann took top honours in the junior ladies division with a time of 1:44:24.00 leaving her only competitor Anke Janik a vast distance behind.
