The Namibian Standards Institution (NSI) is calling on all local producers, manufacturers and service providers who strictly align their operations with the applicable national, regional and international quality and standards to enter the 2015 annual quality awards programme.
The aim of the programme is to recognize and appreciate industries, enterprises (including the service sector) and individuals who adhere to exceptional quality in all aspects of their operations.
The national awards also seek to greatly influence quality advancement in all sectors of the economy by establishing measurements and quality systems, procedures and processes that are in line with local, regional and international practices.
The programme also recognizes those who use quality advancement to support national economic development and growth.
Companies, large or small, can enter the Company of the Year Award (large enterprise or small and medium enterprise), Product of the Year (large enterprise or small and medium enterprise), Service of the Year (large enterprise or small and medium enterprise), Exporter of the Year (large enterprise or small and medium enterprise) or the individual awards.
The five national category winners will be required to represent Namibia at the Annual SADC Quality Awards.
Entry forms must be submitted to the NSI by the end of August.
The primary role of the NSI is to promote standardisation and quality assurance in industry, commerce and the public sector, with the aim of improving product quality, industrial efficiency and productivity, and to promote trade, so as to achieve optimum benefits for the country.
