WINDHOEK – Namibia’s International Boxing Federation (IBF) International Featherweight champion Gotlieb Ndokosho will tomorrow take another step closer to his dreams of becoming the crème de la crème of African boxing when he squares off against Oscar Chauke from South Africa.
Promoted by Kinda Promotions, the boxing bonanza is slated for the northern town of Outapi where Ndokosho will defend his title against Chauke in what promises to a cracker-jack affair between the two boxers.
Ndokosho, who boasts a record of 16 wins and 3 losses and 1 draw from 20 bouts, will be expected to pick up where he left off in his last fight against Mohammed Metualy whom he demolished via a 4th round technical knockout.
As for Chauke, the South African boxer boasts an unstable CV of 32 wins, 8 losses and 3 draws from a total of 43 fights in the paid ranks.
Supporting the main bout will be Namibia’s International Boxing Organisation (IBO) Africa Lightweight champion Albinus Felesianu Joseph who will defend his title against another South African opponent Humbulani Nechamchezi over 12 rounds.
Boxing fans have been urged to come out en masse and witness firsthand as sparks fly, several other top local boxers such Anthony Jaarman, Johannes Mwetupunga and Verde Ndayambekwa will also be in action.
