Event organiser Dan Zwiebel paid tribute to all the players in the tournament, saying their selflessness does not go unnoticed.
“We are grateful to all the golf players who participated in the Nedbank for Good Series. They contribute to the upliftment of disadvantaged schoolchildren through our partnership with the Rössing Foundation and its primary beneficiaries – the learners and teachers in rural schools,” Zwiebel said.
Zwiebel also thanked the title sponsor, Nedbank Namibia; all the co-sponsors (AfricaOnline, CB Enterprises, Engen Namibia, Gondwana Collection Namibia, Imperial, Pupkewitz Megabuild, Pupkewitz Motors, Safintra Roofing, Windhoek Lager, and Zebra Trailers); and the official media partner, Future Media.
Nedbank Namibia communication and public relations manager Selma Kaulinge said: “Seeing the increase in the number of players who take part in the Nedbank for Good Series says a lot about the significance of this initiative in the golf fraternity. Our purpose of being money experts who do good is embodied in the types of initiatives we are involved in as they aim to assist the communities that are in need of support, and this series does exactly that.”
The next round in the Nedbank for Good Series will take place at the Windhoek Golf and Country Club on Saturday, 23 September, and the final round will take place at Omeya Golf Club on Friday, 6 October.
