The Namibian Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (Namfisa) reaffirms its dedication to social responsibility by contributing over N$260 000 to projects and activities that enhance national development.
As a responsible corporate citizen, Namfisa prioritises sustainable initiatives that create a positive impact on society.
Kenneth Matomola, CEO of Namfisa, emphasised the importance of these contributions, stating; “Consumers of financial services extend across all regions in Namibia, and it is imperative that our sponsorships and investments reflect this diversity. We are committed to supporting initiatives that benefit communities throughout the nation. It is not just a duty; it’s a privilege and an honour to serve our community in meaningful ways, and create sustainable impact that resonates with our brand and values.”
Namfisa’s Corporate Social Responsibility and Investment (CSRI) activities, guided by a comprehensive policy, focus on educational initiatives, sports, arts, culture, general and national matters, and information communication and technology (ICT). This strategic approach ensures that their contributions align with the evolving needs of
society.
During the financial year ended 31 March 2024, Namfisa allocated N$262 589 towards CSRI sponsorships to institutions and communities.
These investments have made a tangible difference in various communities across Namibia, fostering positive change and sustainable development.
