Over 300 goals were scored across all divisions of the Khomas Netball League when activities returned this past weekend.
The league’s treasurer David Faustinus told New Era Sport he was impressed with the way teams performed over the weekend, adding players showed their strengths and displayed excellent netball on the courts.
“They showed up for their clubs and played high-quality netball which was exciting to see. The games were very competitive and exciting to watch. We hope teams will improve as time progresses,” he said.
In terms of the fitness level of the players as the teams have been on a month-long break, Faustinus said although teams were away from the courts, they kept themselves busy by training.
“I don’t think there was a problem with the fitness because they played high-intensity games on Saturday.”
