A 31-year-old male resident of Omindaba village in Omusati region was allegedly attacked by two male suspects, who repeatedly hit him with stones on the head. 

The victim succumbed to injuries a day later.

The police in Omusati reported that 31-year-old Paulinis Shiwana Immanuel was brutally attacked by two suspects on Saturday evening around 22h00 at the Oshetu location in Omindaba
village. 

The suspects, 33 and 24 years old, repeatedly hit Immanuel with big stones on the head until he collapsed, and they continued to kick him.

 He was rushed to Outapi Hospital and later transferred to Oshakati Intermediate Hospital, where he eventually succumbed to his injuries on Sunday afternoon. 

His body was taken to the Oshakati police mortuary for post-mortem. 

Police inspector in Omusati region Anna Kunga said the motive behind the incident will be determined after a thorough police investigation.

“We do not have information about what exactly transpired that this incident happened, but we know that alcohol abuse is involved. The deceased’s next of kin have been informed, and police investigations continue,” she said.
