Suiderhof primary gets ICT boost

Suiderhof primary gets ICT boost

Information minister Emma Theofelus yesterday inaugurated a library, science lab, and computer lab at Suiderhof Primary School.

Over N$800 000 was invested in the project.

The inauguration also included a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of three additional classrooms and ablution facilities, made possible through the contributions of parents and the community.

During the inauguration, Theofelus noted that technology is here and is unavoidable; the more exposure children have, the more confident they become in using online tools to improve their education.

“Reading is every child’s love. It allows children to imagine all kinds of possibilities. I remember when I got my first book at three years old, it was ‘The Three Little Pigs’. I still remember this story today because it was my first experience of reading, and my mind imagined three little pigs and a wolf blowing down their house,” the minister recounted.
