Capricorn Group has appointed Johan Maass as group financial director, effective 22 November 2024. He joined Capricorn on 1 April 2018, and has served as group chief financial officer since 1 July 2022.
Maass is a chartered accountant by profession, with a B.Com Hons degree in chartered accountancy from North-West University.
Over the past six years, he has accumulated a wealth of experience within the group, serving as group financial manager for four years, and subsequently as group chief financial officer for two years. With 14 years of experience as a finance professional, he has developed robust expertise in financial management, strategic financial planning, risk management and financial reporting and analysis, contributing to the Group’s positive growth.
Maass will continue serving on the group’s executive committee, and the Capricorn group’s executive management team. “I am honoured to step into the role of group financial director. This opportunity allows me to further contribute to the group’s financial health and strategic growth. I look forward to working closely with our talented executive team and the board in this new role”, he commented on his appointment.
