Facilities management training hailed a success

A training on facilities’ management, held from 18 to 22 November 2024, in Windhoek, has been described as a resounding success, bringing together key industry leaders and professionals to enhance their skills.

The training was facilitated by experts from CEA (South Africa), ensuring a high-quality learning experience for all delegates.

This was the first training initiative organised by the Namibia Property Association (NPA) as part of their offer to members and other interested parties.

It was attended by six delegates from prominent companies such as Safland Property Group, Broll Namibia, Oryx Properties Limited as well as Ohlthaver and List (O&L).

The training covered essential aspects of facilities’ management, providing practical knowledge and insight for enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability within the industry. Delegates were provided with excellent study materials, which complemented the in-depth training sessions, and allowed for effective learning and application of key concepts.

In addition to the Facilities Management Programme (FMP), NPA aims to offer future training on a variety of key industry programmes such as the Property Development Programme (PDP), Construction Technology Programme (CTP), Immovable Asset Management, and others.

Ben Jooste, president of the NPA, shared his thoughts on the event: “This training not only equipped participants with valuable skills, but also fostered collaboration and growth within the facilities’ management sector. We are proud to support this initiative, and look forward to future opportunities to continue advancing the industry.”

The training aimed to equip delegates with the latest industry trends, best-practices and
hands-on experience in facilities’ management, ensuring they are well-prepared to tackle the challenges and opportunities in the field.
