The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (Namfisa) received the Outstanding Regulatory Excellence Award during the 10th Anniversary of the Leaders Without Borders Annual Business Summit & International Honours, held on 24 and 25 October 2025 at the Hilton Windhoek Hotel.
The award recognised Namfisa’s exceptional contributions to ensuring financial stability, promoting transparency, and protecting consumers within Namibia’s non-banking financial sector. Through innovative regulatory practices, strong governance, and a commitment to financial inclusion, Namfisa fostered investor confidence and contributed to sustainable economic growth.
Namfisa’s influence extended beyond Namibia, establishing benchmarks for accountability, integrity, and supervisory excellence across Africa. Its work strengthened intra-African financial systems, facilitated trade, and supported economic integration, aligning closely with the mission of the Leaders Without Borders platform.
The summit was held under the theme, “Eliminating Intra-African Trade Barriers – Strengthening Policy Reforms & Strategic Execution Models for Africa’s Economic Growth”. It brought together policymakers, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors from across the continent and beyond. Highlights included keynote addresses, pitching sessions for investment opportunities, panel discussions, and parallel events such as professional doctorate conferment from the European City University, Paris, France, and fellowship inductions from the Chartered Institute of Management and Leadership, Delaware, US.

Namfisa also expressed gratitude to the Leaders Without Borders Development Centre for the nomination and recognition, highlighting its commitment to excellence in financial supervision and consumer protection.
