Aron crowned Miss World Namibia 2026

Miss NGO Namibia, Elly Aron, was crowned Miss World Namibia 2026 yesterday during a dazzling event in Windhoek.

Aron is expected to represent Namibia at the Miss World International competition later this year.

The beauty queen takes over the crown from Selma Kamanya, who had a successful reign. Kamanya placed in the Top 8 at Miss World Namibia and was also named Top Model in Africa. Aron was officially crowned Miss NGO on 20 September 2025 during a national competition attended by the Vice President of the Republic of Namibia, Lucia Witbooi, and other national leaders.

Miss NGO Namibia is the official license holder of the Miss World competition in Namibia. This means the winner of Miss NGO Namibia automatically becomes Miss World Namibia. Organisers say this system will now be the standard going forward. Speaking at the event, Director of the Miss World Namibia Organisation, Andreas Robert, said the new titleholder carries a big responsibility.

“The Miss World Namibia titleholder will serve as a Namibian brand on the global stage. This year’s selection process was different from previous editions as the organisation is going through a period of transition,” he said.

Aron expressed her gratitude after being crowned and said the moment was emotional.

“This crown means a lot to me. I am grateful for the trust placed in me to represent Namibia, and I will do my best to make the country proud. I am hoping to bring the crown home,” she said.

Miss Petite Namibia 2026

During the same occasion, Miss Petite Namibia 2026 was also crowned Miss Petite Global Namibia 2026, Susanna Gawachas, 1st Runner up, Celither Baldwin, and 2nd Runner up, Nandi Mumbuu.  Miss Petite Namibia is a national beauty pageant that celebrates petite women and promotes confidence, leadership, and inclusivity in the modelling and entertainment industry.  The platform aims to empower women of shorter stature by providing opportunities to showcase their talents, advocate for social causes, and represent Namibia at both local and international levels.

The event highlighted beauty, leadership, and Namibian talent, marking an important night for the country’s pageant industry.
