Following the Regional and Local Authorities elections, councillors across Namibia have taken office, including those in the Khomas region, the country’s most populous region and home to the capital, Windhoek. 

Khomas comprises 10 constituencies John Pandeni, Katutura Central, Katutura East, Khomasdal, Moses //Garoëb, Samora Machel, Tobias Hainyeko, Windhoek West, Windhoek East and Windhoek Rural.

The region’s economy is largely driven by government services, finance, retail, construction, tourism and small to medium enterprises, supported by the concentration of population and infrastructure in Windhoek.
