Lawyer Kadhila Amoomo has called on the Namibian government to integrate Angolan children into the country’s social welfare system. He said they should qualify for the child welfare grant of N$350 per month. Amoomo, a staunch advocate for the plight of the street kids, urged the government to facilitate their enrolment in public schools. The issue has been under discussion between the two governments for several years. Despite ongoing engagements, little to no progress has been made.
