‘The End is The Beginning’ is the theme of the last installment this year of Song Night, which promises an unforgetable experience, featuring acts like the new kids on the block: Ian, Frans, Mario and Danielle.
The last edition of Song Night for the year takes place on October 26 at 20h00 at the Warehouse Theatre. Lize Ehlers, founder of the event, which has become an important launch pad for many an aspiring artist, says the last edition for the year will be extra special.
“Not only because it will be the last instalment for this year, but we are teaming up with Bradley Anthony, one of our Song Night ambassadors, who will be launching his album: ‘Forever Love’.
Headlining the show is Priscilla ‘Malva Pudding’ and Jazz crooner Oompie and some stunning sounds of Nayasha, Meraai and many others.
Priscilla started her singing career on the Song Night stage and says it is the most important platform to be involved in as an upcoming musician. “I didn’t have any confidence and was going through my own personal battles. Song Night is the place where you get the right motivation, the right mentorship and the ability to be yourself, where you can reach for the stars and become one with the galaxy,” she says.
Priscilla adds that she was mentored by Lize, who infuses a person with the determination to reach deep within oneself to find the raw talent that they are blessed with.
“My journey with Lize and Song Night I will not trade for any other. I will be a proud ambassador for Song Night until the day I die. When the show starts you can feel the adrenalin pumping and we all just strive to enjoy ourselves and give the best we can.
“For me the journey with Song Night will never end, every person I ever meet I will recommend to get involved with Song Night because it is a journey you will never turn you back on,” Priscilla says, pointing out that Mercedez von Cloete teaches one how to walk and talk like a millionaire.
This is also the inspiration and drive why she needs, as she assists with the dress code and make-up tips, saying it motivates one to be the best they can be and to strive to deliver the best in each and every stage performance.
The entrance fee is N$50 at the door, N$150 at door for VIP tickets includes a CD and refreshments.
