Although the road to knowledge may have obstacles, learning is simple and easy, says the best learner at Uukule Senior Secondary School in the Onyaanya Constituency of Oshikoto Region, Martha Amunyela.
More than 300 learners at the school were awarded certificates and trophies on Friday for passing the August examination with high grades. “I now know that as a learner you must study very hard without looking back at your competitors. All you have to do is to aim your target and your destination,” said Amunyela, who is in Grade 8.
Grade 12 learner Karolina Ihuhua was the winner of the Principal’s Award. She says she is very happy and proud. “It is an amazing thing to be recognised for your hard work. I would like to encourage fellow learners to study smart and never give up on their dreams, because the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams,” says Ihuhua.
Proud matriculant Ruusa Uukongo won the Dux learner award. She says anyone can be who or whatever they want to be as long as they study and work hard.
“Believing in the best of your ability to be the best will make you the best,” says Uukongo. She encourages fellow learners to work hard with determination, self-motivation and persistence to achieve their goals.
