The Africa Trusted Business Solutions (ATBS) Group has confirmed the participation of Bank of Namibia Governor Ipumpu Shiimi at its second Annual Namibia Banking Insurance Finance Investment Forum 2016.
The forum is slated to take place at the Windhoek Country Club from September 14 to 16.
According to Gift Mashingaidze, ATBS’s managing partner in South Africa, the main focus of the three-day forum will be to address key banking and finance aspects in the country.
The forum further aims to ascertain whether banking is playing a leading role in the development of Namibia’s markets with a focus on issues of regulation and compliance.
The three-day forum is further expected to gather key executives, captains of the industries, financial regulators and industry players to discuss the financial stability and future investments terrains.
Confirmed speakers include chief executive officer of the Namibia Stock Exchange NSX and vice chairman of SADC Stock Exchanges Tiaan Bazuin, head of payments at First National Bank Namibia Albert Matongela Mutonga, Professor Roman Grynberg, an economist at the University of Namibia, Tichayana Makot, an independent consultant, writer of the trustees handbook, southern Africa), the director of research & securities at Simonis Storm Securities Purvance Heuer, Suta Kavari, investment strategist at Capricorn Asset Management and Adv Chris Möller, head of the EY Namibia Fraud Investigation & Dispute Department.
