Many may be wondering what the above-mentioned are and what they may have in common. For the people from those era the answer comes easily. But for the latter day generations these are hit songs from yesteryears, which in their times had the music scene raving.

Tonight these are some of the songs that are probably on offer. Lovers of disco and pop music from the 70s, 80s and 90s are being taken down memory lane to that period, and have the chance tonight to relive that era dancing the night away when the Franco Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC) presents Disco Night featuring talented French DJ, Chris, at the FNCC Gallery.

FNCC communication officer, Alexandrine Guinot, says the disco night is part of the FNCC’s 25th anniversary celebrations and a night of nostalgic memories and exceptionally good rhythms. “The FNCC Gallery will be turned into a real nightclub by DJ Chris with his great mixing skills,” Guinot says.

The man of the night DJ Chris promises a night of fun and excitement. “Fans are getting a thrill during disco night as the evening is dedicated to this great epoch with some of the incredible unavoidable names of the time such as Earth, Wind and Fire, the Police, U2, Madonna, and others who will get you dancing and grooving,” DJ Chris entices.

He adds that the show will be something out of the ordinary and the perfect way to kick off a weekend. “It will be a good opportunity to spend the cold winter evening dancing, mingling and just having fun while reminiscing on great times through amazing songs. It will be a family and friendly event and a good occasion to spend time all together,” he enthuses.

“I will now be presenting my mixing passion in Windhoek, don’t miss out on a sensation night and the best as it’s absolutely for free. DJ Chris is a French policeman who has performed in France and Afghanistan.
