Standard Bank says it is pleased to welcome Mercia Geises, its new head of personal and business banking with effect from July 1.
Geises takes over from Bradwyn Beukes who has been acting in Baronice Hans’s position since January 2016.

Geises will report directly to the chief executive Vetumbuavi Mungunda, and will be a member of the executive team.
She has worked at the Old Mutual Investment Group Namibia (OMIGNAM), where she held the position of CEO.

Prior to her promotion into that role, Geises held the position of head: OMIGNAM – Alternative Investments at Old Mutual, a role she occupied for four years. She brings enormous knowledge and work experience in investment management, change management, unit trust management, bank assurance, wealth management as well retail and commercial business to Standard Bank.

Geises holds the following qualifications:
MBA (University of Stellenbosch)
LLM (Mercantile Law) (University of the Free State)
LLB (University of the Free State)
B Juris (University of Namibia).
