WINDHOEK – Namibian football will just never be the same again in the aftermath of some of the country’s most gifted footballers who hung up their togs under mysterious circumstances.

Much-travelled mercurial midfielder, Quinton Jacobs leads an exodus of footballers that have certainly made a long lasting mark in domestic football.

New Era Sports has been reliably informed that while some of the retired players have become a bit long in the tooth, others are fed up with the seemingly unending politics in the annals of Namibian football.

Former Civics and Brave Warriors stalwart defender, Franklin April has quit the game to concentrate on his retail business. Former Civics and Brave Warriors attacking midfielder, Brian Brendell also followed suit.

The most shocking news about those who have prematurely taken a bow from the game is that of Black Africa and Brave Warriors agile shot-stopper, Arnold Subeb.

Veteran Civics dreadlocked forward, Costa Khaiseb, has also called it a day and is currently on the club’s technical staff.

Its not known as to what is next for former Werder Bremen wayward midfielder, Razzie Tjikuzu, who has been offloaded by African Stars at the beginning of the current term.
