WINDHOEK–  The Colour Crazy Party, now in its second year, is headed for the coast on December 27.

An amazing colour powder paint was unleashed on to the massive crowd of about 5000 festival goers on Saturday resembling  a colourful volcanic eruption. This was during  the second annual colour crazy party  at the Doc Jubber Hockey Fields heralding somehow the advent of Namibian summer with  a jubilant vibe devoid of the normal social norms as people met and talk to individuals they would usually not talk to  and with strangers blissfully threwing and  colourfully decorating one another with coloured powder.

Aside the collectively colour powder tossing, folks got to enjoy the intense musical experience from the 12 live DJs such with the South African duo of Pascal and Pearce  headlining the show. DJ Vixi, DJ Sergio and locally well known DJ Droopy and KBoz kept the overjoyed crowd on their feet. The coolest part of this year colour festival was that an unscripted music video was shot live, soon to be seen on DStv TRACE channel.  Further more, DJ KBoz introduced the official theme song for the colour crazy party.

The Colour Crazy Party definitely gives one a “Coachella festival”. The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is an annual two-weekend, three-day music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California). Although one may never have been there this is how may imagine it to be like.  People who came from the festival were seemingly appearing like a rainbow thrown up on them due to the fact that they were covered in all colours of the rainbow. The colour crazy party was motivated by the colour crazy festival based on the Indian festival of colours.
