Women empowerment starts with self

Home Youth Corner Women empowerment starts with self

Most women have lowered their standards because of lack of self-respect. As we live life, there is a line we leave behind, a reputation that measures our standards. A woman’s level of acceptance is mostly measured by her behaviour, mostly the kind of behaviour that can be accepted by the society.

A stance of acceptance in a young woman’s mind is that if they sacrifice to live without some things, they might not be appreciated. Being a woman is a terribly difficult task since it consists of a principle to deal with men. The world is cruel and not all of us will survive it. Our parents and family members will not protect us from the cruelty of the world, some friends may lead us there but only we can make choices to save ourselves. Most woman and young girls are the victims of the cruelty that has been poured into them because of the choices they have made. There is no respect and honour in sleeping with a man for money or for material things. It seems like love has been lost because the evilness of money has broken in and led to temptations. The ethics that have been drummed into us out of love have been lost. There is no luck in living life in the dark when you can have so much if you walk in the light. I strongly encourage woman to work hard for themselves or they will continue to live under the cruelty of men. This is not only a man’s world, it’s our world. Woman empowerment starts with you and the choices you make today. Above all, be the drug of your own life, not the victim.
