WINDHOEK – The Bank Windhoek Mariental branch was awarded as the best overall branch for medium-sized branches of the bank.
The gold award in the large branch category went to the Maerua Mall branch, while Oranjemund picked up gold in the small branch category (for the second consecutive year).
Bank Windhoek also recognised its staff for excellence and performance in the workplace. Four staff members received the managing director’s award for their hard work and dedication toward Bank Windhoek’s vision of becoming the preferred bank in Namibia.
Lukas Nanyemba, Regional Executive: Corporate Banking, received the MD’s leadership award for managerial staff for his inspirational and exemplary leadership.
Lukas was praised for his ability to embrace diversity, communicate clearly and effectively, build effective working relationships and his strong commitment to organisational success and quality results, amongst others. He is also regarded as a change champion who is flexible in responding to change and his “can do” attitude.
Bank Windhoek handed out the awards at its annual executive awards ceremony on 4 September in Windhoek.
