WINDHOEK – It’s back again to action in the Namibia Rugby Union (NRU) Premiership as Reho Falcon takes to the field for their semi-final play-off against an equally determined United Rugby Club outfit, at the Hage Geingob Stadium in Windhoek tomorrow at 15h00.
The Falcon and United game will also be followed by another potentially thrilling encounter between Rehoboth Rugby club and Kudus in the 2nd semi-final play-off of the day.
As for the Falcon verses United match, a scintillating clash can be expected when the two giants lock horns, as both teams are hungry for premiership success and equally boast much experience in terms of their playing personnel.
With the winner of this encounter guaranteed to face reigning champions Western Suburbs in one of the semi-finals, a possible victory for either side would be a major boon since both teams are eager to reclaim top honours in the country’s elite league.
In the 2nd encounter, Rehoboth goes into the match as clear favourites to go through, where, if they do go through, they will face Wanderers in the second semi-final, but the Rehobothers would be best advised not to underestimate the success-hungry Kudus.
Obviously, the underdog tag will suit Kudus perfectly as it will ease the pressure off them, thus allowing the players to freely go about their business and in the process try to capitalise on their opponents’ mistakes.
As it stands, Rehoboth and United are the bookies’ favourites to reach the final if one considers their consistent showing in the final stretch of the abbreviated mini league this season.
