WINDHOEK- Boet has been billed to perform at the Oshakati Totem Expo as well as Miss Oshakati at the end of this month and early July at Ondangwa and Oshikango Country Lodge respectively. This is besides for the official launch of his debut album, Unexpected Arrivalof which the launch is expected soon, Boet is also working on a new music video. He says all songs on the album speak for themselves. The 17 track-album released last week has what it takes to make one dance all the way and is worth listening to.

Although many thought Boet will never reach the top, this time he goes an extra mile to produce a strong and ear-catching album full of creativity. The album features arrays of different local artists such as Satlam, Tulisan, Neslow, 2ko & Koxa, Omsaane Niihana, Laquida, Trap and Mabuzza, as well as Tiara and Chakalas. “This album is more talking about me and introducing me at the same time as an artist to the whole continent, the ups and downs, while at the same time I tried to make it an entertaining album,” says Boet. The album is a mixture of Dancehall and Kwaito with traditional feels to it. Boet dedicates the song Nena Andihombola Ame, which means I am getting married today, to the people in the North who are getting married around this time of year.

The song Sumina, which means add or cover is done in a more dancehall way and is sure to send you the dancing floor without fear. “I wanted to show where I come from and even though I am in the city, and doing Kwaito and Dancehall, I still have the roots,” he says, explaining the song. The song Hard-work is another of the songs from the album that received more radio airplays along Stuck on you. Stuck on you features Namibian sensational singer, Laquida. “I tried to add a different flavour to this album. And this can be seen on the song Ebufalo, a Dancehall track, which is very popular when it comes to the youth. The song features 2ko & Koxa and Mabuzza,” says Boet. He explains that it took him a whole year to complete Unexpected Arrival because of financial difficulties and broken promises from sponsors but playing this down, Boet cites the hustle and bustle of the industry coupled with hardship and other commitments .

The album has been recorded with renowned Namibian producers like M Jay, Greg and Pro as well as DJ Toca La from Ekia Records and UGu Audio. The album is available at popular Namibian music outlets across the country such as Universal Sounds, Windhoek Mono Shop, Okapana Service Station, Racio Media Group, Maldini Music Shop in Oshakati and Street House Oshakati, selling for N$100.
