WINDHOEK
– Pupils at  the Michelle McLean Primary School (MMPS) in Otjomuise were treated to bowls of delicious soup prepared by the staff of the Michelle McLean Children Trust (MMCT) and teachers of  the school last week.

The treat was to celebrate the end of the term as well as to unveil the school’s logo. The pupils queued  at the school sports field where they each receive a bowl of soup and can of cooldrink. They later paired up to play various fun games such as soccer. With 1000 learners, the MMPS  is not only the largest single project undertaken by the Trust up to now, but it is also a proud landmark in its endeavours to fulfil its promises and mission to “assist and encourage the youth of Namibia to commit themselves to their future and to the future of Namibia”.

The School was built in Otjomuise in 2000 as a state school in a joint venture with the Ministry of Basic Education, Sport and Culture.
