Home Business Students advised on career paths in banking sector

WINDHOEK – Staff members of Bank Windhoek’s human resource department at the 19th Career Fair of the Polytechnic of Namibia interacted with new and senior students and advised them about career prospects at the bank and in the banking industry in general.

The career fair was attended by prospective students, as well senior high school learners who had the opportunity to ask questions to help and guide them towards a career path that is right for them.  Senior students also had the opportunity to learn about the bank’s recruitment policy and job requirements. “The Polytechnic of Namibia’s 19th Career Fair is a great platform for Bank Windhoek and the banking sector as a whole to encourage learners and students to study towards a business banking degree in areas of auditing, chartered accounting, actuarial science, risk management and compliance, information technology and property valuation amongst others. We hope that through our exhibition and interaction with the students, a few of them will make the choice of becoming a banker and contribute to the development of the sector and the country’s economy,” said Fillimon Ngairo, Manager: Human Capital Development at Bank Windhoek.
