The FNCC will start the year with a fundraising exhibition, by the Namibian literacy trust at the gallery from January 16 to 20. The Namibian Literacy Trust was officially established on October 25, 1993 to help the Government of the Republic of Namibia in combating illiteracy and empower the people. The Trust is dedicated to assist non-governmental organisations of Namibia in realising the vision of “education for all” essential for achieving the goals of poverty reduction, reduced child mortality, gender equity and sustainable development, peace and democracy. The exhibition that will be held at the FNCC in January will gather some art works by some of the greatest Namibian artists, namely Kapengbe Natangwe, Reinhold Inane, Amuthenu Petrus, Malua Malua, Pedra Foster, Pieter Basson, Kapolo Fillemon, kleopas Jambeinge, Kay Cowley, Ziggu Marthin, Max Edison, Dr Burkhard Dobiey, Josia Shilongo, Festus Kavari, Kaleb Haipinge, David Amukoto, Imke Rust, Paulinus Tjirundu, Chaldon Hepundjua, Truddi Dicks, Inatu Indongo, Alpheus Mvula and Rudolph Seieb.
