Poet Appeals for Funds

POET Hendricks Macaba is in urgent need of funding to have his latest poetry anthology published. “I need an amount of N$15 000 to publish my works, which I think can make it internationally as literature. I have already published two other poetry anthologies and some short stories,” Macaba told Art/Life as he showed off his latest creations, of which two are published works. Macaba is actively involved in creative writing in the Caprivi, where in 2002 he established TAWA, The Associated Works of Art organisation. “Poetry writing became a presentation of my inner feelings towards life. I primarily express my creative feelings in English and Silozi of which most of my works have been published in some local publications and have been praised for as literature works,” he said. People wishing to support the anthology publishing project can call the Katutura Community Arts Centre at 277300 and leave massages to that effect for the poet.
