WINDHOEK Local poets will next express themselves during this year’s first Spoken Word session, dubbed “The Love Session”, to be held at the Commercial Bank Theatre School next Wednesday at 19h30. “Spoken Word, a non-profit organisation, is an initiative of young Namibians and provides a platform for aspiring and up and coming poets to showcase their work and The Love Session is so named because of the event’s proximity to Valentine’s Day,” a statement from the organization says. The organization dedicates itself to looking after the underprivileged and has already worked with various charity organizations providing donations and assisting at soup kitchens throughout last year and aims to do so with more vigour this year. Entrance to Wednesday’s event is N$10 or alternatively, attendees can also bring a soft toy, children’s book or some packaged goods that underprivileged children would find useful.
