STAMPRIET – Three people were seriously injured in yet another horrific accident on the country’s roads. The gruesome accident happened between Stampriet and Mariental on Saturday.
Two bakkies, one carrying 13 passengers, collided head-on about 30 kilometers outside Stampriet. Three people, including a pregnant woman, were seriously injured and the woman suffered an intra-uterine on the spot.
The only person in the other light pick-up was also seriously injured and had to be transported to Windhoek for treatment. Police officers at the scene confirmed to New Era that three people were heavily injured while others were only treated for slight injuries.
