WINDHOEK The Egyptian Embassy in Namibia has announced that the closing date for entries in the 1st Egyptian International Photography Festival is February 28, 2007. The photographic festival will be held in Cairo for the first time from March 15 to 20. “This event is a great chance for all photographers interested in new events and updated techniques in nature, travel and portrait photography. Amateurs as well as professional photographers can enter for the competition, which offers valuable monetary winning prizes. Entered works will also be analyzed by some of the world’s greatest photographers,” reads their press release. The embassy recommended that participants go to Egypt for the festival, to be held under the theme: “Be a Friend of Germany” where entries will be judged by 25 adjudicators.
