WINDHOEK
-The Namibian gospel group, The Covenant Movement, is hosting the City Lights Live Concert on March 1 at the Warehouse Theatre.

The Covenant Movement consists of three members, DeeA, Sarah and Young-P. DeeA says their music and light is not just to shine in Church, but they want it to go out into the cities and streets. “We want to take Jesus to the streets; we want to prove to the nation that to be born again is not boring. We want to tell the nation that if a man has Jesus, he wouldn’t touch a woman. We want the media to recognise Gospel music that’s the only way we can get to the people that are not exposed to the internet and social media,” explains DeeA.

The event will also see the Hip-Hop, Kwaito and Jazz Live music performances by different bands of Drum King, Zan, Totti, Ben, Afron and Devine.  “We also have got dance crews, different artists like Levite, Adoration, Asteria, DTB, Franklin aka Church boy, The Call and many artists and bands of different genres. People will also be entertained from the start to the end of the show, hence it is going to be the night of blessing and praising,” says DeeA, adding that   DTB will be performing as a guest band. Tickets will cost N$30 and they can be requested via 0816625029, 0818389216 or 0812133468. Doors open at half past seven O’clock (19h30).
