WINDHOEK-The first of its kind, the BayoCle Classic Valentine bash to be hosted in Katutura has leaved up to its promises with a smashing ending last Friday night at the Namibia Football Association (NFA) Technical Centre.
The red carpet event hosted under the theme “Yes to communication in a relationship and No to violence in a relationship” saw the Dr Mara Mberira, a psychologist, delivering messages of love, poems and warning lovers about killing their partners telling them how one can live and stay faithful to their partners. She says communication in the relationship between two people is very important and lovers must try to leave with that.
The event was opened by a prophet, Gift Katjiuanjo, aka Give Us Power, of the Mind the Gap Ministry, who prayed for the couples followed by welcoming remarks by the Councilor for Katutura Central Constituency, Ambrosius Kandjii, who also thanked the BayoCle Entertainment for hosting the event for the first time in Katutura. Next on the programme was the a massive performance by the four girls known as Jewels who let their voices out with an acapella genre. MasZanga ended the event with an entertaining performance. The two main objectives of the event was to bring practical awareness to gender based violence, especially against women, and to bring Valentine’s Day closer to the people.
