KAHENGE – The police at Kahenge in the Kavango West Region arrested a man who allegedly beat to death his own brother in an unprovoked attack.
The vicious attack reportedly took place on Monday at Nzinze village where the victim was savaged.
It was reported the deceased was beaten with fists and kicked on the head causing his death. The deceased was identified as Kaveto Jonathan, a 31-year-old male from Nzinze in the Kahenge constituency. The suspect is 26 years old. In other news, three men travelling in a white sedan vehicle robbed a Chinese shop at gunpoint.
The suspects entered the shop pretending to buy a cellphone then suddenly one of them pulled out a shotgun and pointed it at the victim and demanded money from him. They got away with money reported to be N$4 247 in a get-away vehicle. The suspects are unknown to the victim and no arrest or recovery has been made so far.
The victim is Muronga Thimotheus Djami 28 from Shamangorwa village in Kavango east region.
