Dr Sarala Krishnamurthy, the chief adjudicator of the Theatre Zone Competition, is the Dean of the School of Communication at the Polytechnic of Namibia.
She has a PhD in English with 20 years of teaching experience at a university in India during which time she has supervised M.Phil and PhD students in the areas of Feminist Theory, Postcolonial Literature and Theory, Applied Linguistics, English Language Teaching and Drama. Further.
Krishnamurthy has several publications to her credit and has presented papers at both international and national conferences.
She has also started a Namibian English Teachers’ Association to bring together educationists, teachers, researchers and other stakeholders to a common platform to share concerns, to network and improve the teaching of English.
The association has been invited to join TESOL, in the US and this year she is sending eight teachers to US to do their MA, TESOL.
She has been a judge for NTN for three years and at present she is editing the 3rd Volume of Best Namibian Plays.
